Red Shopper

Striking hand stitched bag by Elizabeth Bond. This is the red shopper. This bag is ideal when you are on the go and need to carry few items. This Italian leather is from the 'Walpier Buttero' range at A. & A. Crack in Northampton. The vegetable tanned leather bag has been wet-moulded after stitching which has given it it's organic look. One of the special properties of vegetable tanned leather is that it will keep it's shape after wet- moulding. 

The bag has a pointed oval base and measures approx 25.3 cm high, 33.5 cm length across the base at the longest part, and is 8.9 cm at the widest part of the base. The handle is 8.5 cm across and 2.5 cm deep. The bag is sewn with red thread. The bag is unlined. The nature of this hand made product means that there will be occasional tool marks that are all part of the hand made process.
